Hinckley Yacht Services Savannah, GA
We care for sail and power yachts of every make on the Wilmington River, minutes from historic Savannah, with paint, engine work, and every trade in house.
Location overview
A Full-Service Yard on the Wilmington River
On the Wilmington River at Thunderbolt, we care for sail and power yachts of every make, four miles from historic Savannah. From our docks it is easy water to the open ocean through Wassaw Sound and the Savannah River, right at Mile 582 on the Intracoastal Waterway.
Paint and engine work are what owners come to us for, backed by a full range of trades in house: mechanical, electrical, electronics, fiberglass, carpentry, canvas and upholstery, rigging, and refrigeration. We hold factory authorization across the major marine brands aboard your yacht.
From your first call, we assign you one service advisor who knows your boat and coordinates the work, the dock, and the haul-and-launch. Instead of chasing separate conversations, you have a single point of contact from drop-off through completion.

Your Savannah Service Advisor
Savannah Service Team
From your first inquiry through arrival, service, storage, and completion, one Savannah service advisor coordinates the plan and stays your single point of contact throughout.
Before You Arrive
Tell us the vessel details, the work you want, your current location, and timing. We plan everything before your yacht ever reaches the yard.
Arrival and Handoff
We set your slip with the team and confirm haul or launch timing ahead of the handoff, so arrival day runs without surprises or delay. Please call ahead for after-hours arrival.
While We Have Her
We coordinate the trades, approvals, access, and updates throughout, keeping one clear path through the work from the first day to the last.
Seasonal Timing
Plan haul-out, paint, and engine work with us early. We stay busy October through April, so the quieter summer months are the time to book larger projects.
Owner feedback
What owners say after service
“I have hesitated to make any criticism for fear it could jeopardize getting continued work done with Morris, but communication with my service manager is difficult. Weeks, sometimes months, have gone by without responses. He knows about boats and is always very helpful when I get him on the phone. I end up getting anxious, however, that work will not get done. i have offshore passages planned which are dependent on the work being done. Most recently, I met with him in-person and gave him a 9-item list (June 20). He got back to me about initial thoughts on one item. i do not know if that is being done (one attachment point of stern rail is completely free). I cannot seem to get a further response via phone, email or text.”
“Brad was amazing. Gavin's personal phone call was very much appreciated. I know he is best. Having known Scott Bryant at Alerion was a plus too. I have had a MJM 50 and a Palm Beach 42. No comparison to them. Hands down a much better experience. Thanks. Stephen”
“Much appreciation for Ian and Clint and the team.”
“Keep up innovation, keep up emphasis on quality, speed, and maybe some crisp modernism to interior design (or at least the option, in terms of hardware, lighting, etc.).”
“I would like to see better knowledge if non-Hinckley branded boats sold by hinckley and why a price difference is worth while..”
“Ian Whitty as our project manager and the entire Hinckley team have been exceptional to work with. Everyone is very knowledgeable about the product and various options both Hinckley options and those supplied by other equipment manufacturers.”
